I'm saddened to hear that John died. I only found out yesterday (8/31/17). He was a special gift and blessing to CCHS during his time there. I was privileged to have known and worked with him. I will offer three Masses for the repose of his soul. May God grant peace to the family.

I was very saddened to hear about Coach Nese. In my 4 years at Central, I have many fond memories of Coach. I was fortunate to play basketball and baseball for him. Many life long lessons were packed into those 4 years. He would come pick me up to umpire with him in the summer out in Wintersville. We also played softball together in the Church League. I would not trade those years for anything. May God bless your family through this time. When Coach would write to me in college, his favorite line in each letter was "take 2 and go to right."

He was amazing as he made history come alive, entertained us and passed this passion on to countless students. He made you feel like he knew you personally and always was happy to see his students in and out of school.
