Wally coached two of my daughters. Lauren and Leia have great memories of learning the game and joking around with him. He loved to coach the girls, maybe only liked it when the girls lost. But he was a genuine man.
We were devastated to hear this news, late. Our condolences to the family. We wish we had learned sooner, we would have been at the Mass. We always heard about his daughters. He was a proud father and grandfather. Thanks Coach Wally! We love and miss you.

My heart is hurting so at the loss of this wonderful and gentle man. I knew Wally In College, in fact, he was my very first boyfriend. He was so patient, sweet, kind, and selfless. I don't think Wally EVER put his own wants and needs first, nor did I ever hear him utter an unkind word about anyone. He lived life simply and made it a point never to judge others. We recently had lunch together and he couldn't wait to share pictures of his beautiful daughters and his darling grandson. At our 40th reunion, Wally told me how he was looking forward to retiring and moving to the beach.....his happy place.....and I am so thankful that he was able to realize that dream as well as see his daughters happily married, and meet his beautiful grandson, Jack. I feel blessed to have been able to reconnect with him over the past year and saddened at his sudden passing. My deepest sympathies to all of his family; the world is a better place for having had Wally in it. Warmest Regards, Linda

To the Family of Wally,
I was so shocked to hear of Wally's sudden passing. I graduated after Wally from CCHS, but it was a joy to see his smiling face as he coached the Jr. Crusader's Girls' Basketball Team. I know how much love and respect they all had for him as their coach. Bless you Wally and Rest In Peace!

Wally was great. I'm sad to hear of his passing. I haven't seen him for a while but when I would run into him I would say Hey there's my favorite Gogul and he would laugh and say Make sure you tell the rest of them that. Then he would tell me how lousy his golf game was but how much he loved it. He could complain without complaining and always left you feeling good about seeing him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and many friends.
