Thomas W. Ossio,Sr.

Thomas W. Ossio, Sr., 90, of Steubenville, died August 1, 2016, at home with his loving family surrounding him. He was born March 3, 1926, in Mingo Junction. He is the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Parsons Ossio. Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette DiFonzo Ossio; three brothers: George, Ray, and Russell; also two sisters: Lillian Daniels and Frances Summers. Surviving are his two children: Carmela Ossio Allan (John) of Steubenville and Thomas Ossio Jr. (Teresa) of Wintersville; four grandchildren: Nicholas Saggio (Darci), Rebecca Ossio Duff (Garret), Stephanie Ossio, and Rachel Ossio; two great- grandchildren: Brooklyn and Mason Saggio. Thomas was a self- employed contractor with Ossio and Porreca Contracting for over 20 years. He was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church and a current member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Thomas served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was the recipient of the purple heart Calling hours are Thursday from 12 noon until time of services at 2 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel 4435 Sunset Blvd, Steubenville.
