Virginia R. Kovaleski

Virginia R. Kovaleski, 91, of Steubenville died, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Laurels of Steubenville. She was born August 31, 1925 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Matthew and Victoria Karpinski Zalewski. Also preceding her in death are her husband Joseph Kovaleski; brothers Walter, John and Casmir Zalewski; sisters Florence Zalewski, Betty Andrews, Mary Sobolewski, infant son Louis, and grandson Matthew. Virginia was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish and its CWC. Surviving are two sons Joseph (Suzan) of Steubenville and Daniel (Debbie) of Steubenville; one daughter Carol (Pete,deceased)Fabian of East Springfield; seven grandchildren (John, Timothy, Jennifer, Robert, Catherine, Jeremy and Becky) and four great grandchildren (Izzy, Addie, Ariana, and Aaron). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. A vigil will be Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
